Promote just, peaceful and inclusive societies

Films4Peace is dedicated to the promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, the provision of access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable institutions at all levels.

National Peace Film Festival

We are going to organize National Peace Film Festival in Bangladesh. We will focus only peace and human rights, where we shine the light on the powerful youth who boldly express their untold stories through the medium of film for peace and human rights.

National Peace Film Festival draws together youth from all walks of life to be inspired by compelling storytelling and for them then to engage actively within their own lives and communities to make the Bangladesh a better place than they found it: let’s make film 4 peace. Get Involved. Change It. Action, engagement and participation are our bywords

Participatory Film Making for Peace

Participatory Video (PV) is a set of techniques to involve a group or community in shaping and creating their own film. The idea behind this is that making a video is easy and accessible, and is a great way of bringing people together to explore issues, voice concerns or simply to be creative and tell stories. This process can be very empowering, enabling a group or community to take action to solve their own problems and also to communicate their needs and ideas to decision-makers and/or other groups and communities. As such, PV can be a highly effective tool to engage and mobilisemarginalised people and to help them implement their own forms of sustainable development based on local needs.

Global Compact on Migration

Films4Peace Foundation is working for  orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people. We have a national  campaign for safe and orderly migration.

PEACE begins with me. We believe peace education should start from the family. Films 4 Peace Foundation is working to promote peace through engaging family members for peace. This is the innovative programme for making peace.

We are certain that you are fully aware what is happening near the border between Myanmar and Bangladesh. Myanmar Rohingya population are brutally killed by the Myanmar armies. They burnt the villages, killed and raped thousands and terrorized millions. Satellite image confirms that facts [1], [2], [3]. Myanmar Rohingya population has no energy to fight, there are only escapes. So far Rohingya mass departure exceeds almost 1 million and that number is increasing each day [4]. UN confirms that number but real number could be 2-fold higher. Majority of those victims are women and children. Bangladesh health minister confirms there are 18,000 pregnant women among Rohingya refugees [5]. It is one of the large-scale crisis against humanity in recent times. Next week we will travel to Bangladesh and Myanmar border areas to capture visual evidence on Rohingya crisis highlighting following themes (and sub-themes):

Escape from the hell

Life in the tents, food, shelter

Health and hygiene

New born, adolescence, pregnancy, Women

Elderly, lost children / Orphans

Social Impacts

Environmental impacts

Returning from conflict zone, film4peace will host photo exhibition immediately to bring the matter to attention to development agencies and foreign ambassador’s immediately. Then, film4peace will start campaign for fund-raising, global awareness on the issue, Rohingya resettlement and justice for Rohingya community using documentary films and photographs. Early next year, film4peace will also publish a documentary photography book.
