About the Festival
“Now more than ever we need to talk to each other, to listen to each other and understand how we see the world, and cinema is the best medium for doing this.” – Martin Scorsese
This is the first time in South Asia, we are going to organize National Peace Film Festival in Bangladesh. We will focus only peace and human rights, where we shine the light on the powerful youth who boldly express their untold stories through the medium of film for peace and human rights.
National Peace Film Festival draws together youth from all walks of life to be inspired by compelling storytelling and for them then to engage actively within their own lives and communities to make the Bangladesh a better place than they found it: let’s make film 4 peace. Get Involved. Change It. Action, engagement and participation are our bywords. We are looking for stories that make us laugh, think, cry, sit taller in our seats and ask, “What can I do 4 peace?” We will curate experiences pairing films and post-screening events that educate and motivate our audiences for peace and human rights. We will work closely with youth groups and impact producers to create space for progress and creativity to flourish. National Peace Film Festival is not a passive exhibition event, but a commitment to building peace and human rights through films.
